Poker Terminology
Fold: You choose to drop out of the current round and end your participation in the game. For example, when you have a weak hand and no chance of winning.
Bet: You can place the first bet if you are the first player. Then, the other players have to match the amount you bet in order to continue playing.
Raise: After the previous player's bet, in addition to folding, you can increase the amount of money in the pot by raising it (Raise = Previous bet + Amount you want to add). This action shows that you have a strong hand.
All-in: When you bet or raise all the money you have, it's called going all-in. If you go all-in and the game continues, then you just have to watch until the end of the game. In Poker, at the end of the game, the cards are revealed to determine the winner. If you win after going all-in, you will receive the total amount of money in the pot at the time you went all-in.
Call: You put in an amount equal to the previous player's bet to continue playing in the current round.
Basic Poker Rules
A Poker game requires at least 2-10 players, depending on the specific format, such as 9, 6 or 2 players in online Poker. The table always has one letter "D" which stands for the Dealer or card dealer. The dealer position rotates to a different player after each round. Each player is dealt 2 face-down cards, followed by 5 community cards that are placed face-up in the middle of the table. A Poker game consists of 4 betting rounds: pre-flop, flop, turn, and river.
After 4 rounds, the player with the best combination of their two cards and the community cards on the table wins the game. In some cases, the game can end when a player bets and all other players fold, making the bettor the winner.
At the end of each betting round, the bets are collected in the pot. A betting round ends when no one wants to place more bets, and the amount of money bet by all players is equal. The winner of the game collects all the money in the pot. If a player goes all-in, they can only win the money in the pot up until the time they went all-in.
How to play Poker in detail and easy to understand
Round 1: Free Flop
The first round of a Poker game begins when players have received their two hole cards. The dealer will start the betting by placing the initial bet, and the player to the left can perform actions such as Call, Raise, or Fold.
The Free Flop round will end when all players have bet the same amount, and no one has raised further.
Round 2: Flop
In this round, three community cards are placed face up in the middle of the table, called the flop. All players can combine their hole cards with the community cards to form the best possible five-card hand. A betting round begins with the first player to the left of the dealer who is still in the game. The options are the same as in the previous round, but players can also choose to check and pass the turn to the next player if no one has bet.
Round 3: Turn
The fourth community card, called the Turn, is placed face up, and players can use it to form their best hand. A betting round follows, and the options are the same as before.
Round 4: River
The fifth and final community card, called the River, is placed face up, and players now have their complete five-card hand. The remaining players will go through a final betting round, and the options are the same as before.
